My life-long commitment to multi-sport endurance athletics began back in 1986 when I completed my first triathlon. From that moment forward, training and racing became an obsession, and then, a decade later, evolved naturally to include a full-time career as a NCCP & Triathlon Canada Certified Level 2 swim-bike-run coach and Canfit & BCRPA certified personal trainer.

Growing up in small town Ontario, I had little to do after school but run around and ride my bike. My father influenced my participation in organized sports at a very early age but by my early teens, I became addicted to simply being outside regardless of the weather, biking and running – both fast and furious! By my senior years in high school, I became hooked on middle-distance track which soon became my specialty. Later on in college, I discovered the power of a well-equipped weight room on improving athletic performance, and began pursuing the ultimate endurance multi-sport of triathlon.

With individual personal bests and World Championship podium wins under my belt over the years, I continue to selectively compete at an elite level in my age group. In 2013, I netted two bronze medals at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Brazil; and in 2014, a silver medal at the World Duathlon Championships in Spain, and a silver medal at the 2014 World Triathlon Championships in Edmonton. In 2018, I won my age group at the Whistler Gran Fondo to place 10th overall. This year, I was happily surprised to become the 2021 BC Masters Road Race Champion for my age group. That’s 55+ in case you’re keeping track 🙂

My nearly 20-year personal training and coaching career has netted many firsts and personal bests with my clients. From the beginner athlete to the lifetime competitor, I get into stride with my athletes, helping set the pace for their successes, assisting them while they gain ground on that elusive win, and being by their side when they achieve their athletic endeavours.

Here’s to becoming your best!
