Multi-sport Endurance Camp
for swim-bike-run athletes of all levels
July 13-16 @ $575+GST

An intensive 4 day camp, limited to 12 participants, hosted by NCCP and Triathlon Canada Certified Level 2 Coach Andrew Tuovinen, designed for road cyclists, Gran Fondo enthusiasts, duathletes and triathletes, those at any level who seek that next level of performance through coaching insights coupled with serious training.
The Penticton Multi-sport Endurance Training Camp returns for 2022 with organized daily swim-bike-run workouts under the watchful eye of multi-sport specialist, NCCP Certified Coach Andrew Tuovinen, whose passion for and expertise in road cycling will make this camp especially attractive to cyclists of all levels.
This camp is designed for triathletes, duathletes, road cyclists and Gran Fondo riders of all levels who seek that next level of training experience in an ideal setting, and those who want to reap the fitness gains that go along with advanced coaching and training. Experience the pastoral beauty and quiet roads of the Okanagan; make waves in the fresh waters of Skaha and Okanagan lakes, and breath in the fragrant orchards as you enjoy running on scenic trails and quiet roads surrounding Penticton.
Besides coached swim-bike-run training sessions, the camp will feature daily focused mini-workshops on topics such as pre, during and post training nutrition, stretching and yoga to promote exercise recovery, functional body-weight workouts, and recovery enhancement techniques. Each participant will enjoy a bag of swag from our sponsors and a farewell dinner!
About Coach Andrew – A competitive triathlete/duathlete, Andrew Tuovinen earned an age-group silver medal at the 2014 World Duathlon Championships in Spain, and a silver medal at the 2014 World Triathlon Championships in Edmonton. He brings a wealth of coaching and competitive insights to each of his camps, particularly for cyclists, and recently Andrew won his age group placing 10th overall at the 2018 Whistler Gran Fondo. All participants of all strengths can expect results working with Andrew. Limited to 12 participants, this means personal coaching attention for everyone in every training session.
FYI: I’ve been asked this question quite often: “Why does the camp end on a Saturday and not a Sunday?” Well, the simple answer is a Wednesday to Saturday schedule supports rest, recovery and not having to rush back home to the coast at the end of a hard training day. To add to this rationale, Sundays in Penticton, in normal times, would often be the choice for scheduling races, swims and other endurance events.

What participants can expect
Over the past number of years I’ve hosted a number of iterations of this camp and one thing for sure: there is no better place in Canada than our Okanagan region for multi-sport endurance training. And Penticton is ground zero. With beautiful warm lakes, quiet rural roads and trails, and accommodations that include 300+ AirB&B listings, Penticton is a natural location for our multi-sport endurance camps. Conditions are excellent, camp participants thrive, call me at 604-340-6767 (or email me) to discuss what this camp can do for your swim-bike-run or Gran Fondo game.

Introducing Our 2022 Camp Sponsors
For 4 days each July, a small “community” of up to 12 athletes, 1 coach, and at least a couple of important volunteer helpers, comes together in Penticton for the Athletic Endeavours Multi-Sport Endurance Camp. It’s not a big event as events go, a small, personal event that many companies would chose to pass on in favour of bigger fish, greater exposure. So, we really appreciate those companies who, when approached for sponsorship, wholeheartedly agreed to support us in some way. Through their sponsorship, through the gifts of product these companies provide our camp participants, they build rapport and a strong positive awareness of the company’s support for sports-based health initiatives, like our camp.
